Alberto Mena is a graphic designer based in New York City. Arnold Roth is a cartoonist whose work has appeared in Punch, The New Yorker, the New York Times, and many other publications. Harvey Wang’s photography career has spanned more than 30 years and his film career more than 15. He has published five books of photography, and his work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across the country, including the Smithsonian, the Museum of the City of New York, and the New-York Historical Society. Cover artist Ilya Shevel was born in 1957 in Leningrad, where he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and worked with a group of Russian nonconformist artists known as Arefiev’s Circle. He earned a degree at the State Art Institute of Estonia in Tallinn, where his concentration was painting. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 and is now a longtime resident of New York City. A former professor of painting and drawing at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, Shevel currently works as a scenic artist for the Metropolitan Opera.
